Ooo how I love the beach and beautiful couples.

And the Sea.

And the sand.

And Love...

A few weeks back I met up with some of the North West and Lancashire's finest wedding photographers for a creative afternoon on the beach. We were blessed with glorious weather and our beautiful couple – Ashlie and Phil – were a dream to work with.

The vibe for our wedding themed shoot was relaxed and informal; with a hint of alternative and Formby beach in Liverpool was the perfect spot to showcase how fabulous beach weddings can be, even in the UK! With its glorious sands, dramatic dunes, surrounding pinewoods and ever-changing landscape Formby Beach really is a beauty spot full of so many hidden possibilities.  

So with the perfect mixture of sand, sea, and stunning scenery I was in my element as we set off for a stroll along the beach together. For me, there is nothing quite like being at the beach, having the wind in your hair and sand beneath your feet, it’s a feeling of home and contentment. Pure love and happiness. And with this in mind, I wanted to reflect those same feelings in to Ashlie and Phil’s alternative beach wedding shoot.

So here they are, a small selection of my favourites from our beach shoot on Formby sands. A shoot full of love, laughter and genuine moments shared between two people, captured forever.
